Mrs. Thayer discusses her involvement with the Museum from the late 1960s through 1994, including service on the Hospitality Committee (renamed the Special Events Committee in 1977) and related events, such as the annual Spring Party in the Garden. Other areas chronicled are the use of volunteers in the Museum, Thayer's presidency of the International Council, her participation on the Painting and Sculpture, Print, and Conservation Committees, and her deep interest in modern art.
